"I
run about 50 races a year, and the Hero to Heroes 5K is without question
one of the finest, best organized and most unique 5k races in the Philadelphia,
New Jersey and Delaware areas. It has all the flavor of a world class
race, complete with private shuttle buses to the start, elite runners
in the field, a fast and exciting point to point course, and very generous
pre and post race amenities for everyone . Hero to Heroes attracts the
top runners in the area, so the competition up front is always a factor.
But every runner, fast or not so fast, is always treated like a world
class runner. Most importantly, the race serves a wonderful cause and
honors the memory of 3 local champions: by helping the families of three
courageous firefighters who became heroes and role models for us all
by making the ultimate sacrifice for others. This is a race well worth
running. I dare you not to get goose bumps at the start and all along
the Hero to Heroes course. It is a race made for both PRs and for truly
honoring the triumph of the human spirit."

Henderson "I think your race will be one of biggest race not only in local area but in USA. Your 5K was very flat that good thing to realize good performance. Congratulation about good organization this year. See you next year." Elarbi
Khat-2004 Men's Overall Winner and Course Record Holder "Teresa and I both enjoyed the race. You all did a very good job and we thought it was a good race. Teresa said the course is good, and the meaning of the race is very special. We were both unaware of the story behind it. Teresa said she liked how you honored the firefighters who died, and how the people there reacted towards the memorial race. She liked it very much and says she'll do her best to come back next year. She is wearing the race T-shirt today. I would also send runners next year, and might have brought more if I'd known the history and significance of the event. There was also lots of food afterwords, always a positive thing. My travel agent defines a good race as one with free beer. One with good food and free beer is a great race!" Lisa

out did your self (again) with all that you do.The post race was once
again top notch. I look forward to running this race every year. Steve Gio I
had a great time this year at the Heros run. Its become
an annual trip back home for me now that I look forward
to so much every year. This year, I really thought the message
and the story of why we were all there was loud and clear and reiterated
more than ever. I was a friend of Tommys and appreciate hearing
it and sharing with others here in FL what the Heros run is all
about. Everything
was wonderful. The transportation, sound system, signage, entertainment
(the string band was a great touch this year), the participation of
other police and fire departments, and most importantly
the free
beer
every little touch was very well done. Did you make arrangements
for the weather too?! Thank
you for all you do. I can only imagine the countless hours spent on
coordinating such an event. Lisa Davis Hi Jerry - we wanted to thank you for another wonderful race! it's one of our favorites and near/dear to our hearts since my brother is a fireman in burlington. thanks for everyone's hard work in planning and executing a great day! Michelle, 2008 I want to say thanks for directing a great road race for a terrific cause. Yesterday was the third year in a row I ran the race and hope to run the race every year. Tom, 2008 I just wanted to drop you a quick note of thanks about the run on Saturday. Once again, it was a great event and served a great cause. As the vice president of the Bryn Mawr Running Club, I know the logistics of these races and how taxing they can be, so my hats off to you for putting it all together for the 7th time and putting on one heck of an event. I especially liked how you guys cleared all the kids out of the first few rows of the start so that they wouldn't get run over, not many races do that! Don't worry, the helmet will be in good hands for the next year, even thought someone already mentioned how much the bronze was worth! Thanks again and see you next year! Tony, 2008 Thanks for much for all your efforts put forward in organizing a wonderful tributary run/event. A run I will continue to be involved for years to come. Darleen.2008
