2020 Heroes to Hero 5k Race shirt order form

Dear Heroes to Hero Memorial 5K Run/Walk Supporter:

The Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund and the Heroes to Hero Run Committee would like to extend our thanks to all those who have been, and are still on the front lines during this unprecedented pandemic. The unselfish acts of emergency response personnel during this period have been unfaltering.

This pandemic has resulted in dramatic changes in all aspects of our lives, both personal and professional, and makes us redefine a NEW “normal” daily.  The level of uncertainty now, and in the months to come, has resulted in some life-altering decisions.   And so it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel this year's Heroes to Hero 5K-Run/Walk out of concern for all participants.  We cannot afford to unnecessarily jeopardize the health and well-being of our emergency responders and supporters.

This decision was not made lightly, and was based on the ongoing stipulations posted by the State of New Jersey as well as statements from other health organizations indicating that the need for social distancing and the use of facemasks may be required for the next several months.

As most know, the funds raised through the Heroes to Hero Run/Walk are used by the Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund to pay scholarships for graduating students of Audubon, Gloucester Catholic and Gloucester City High Schools. Additionally, funds from this, and numerous other events throughout the year, are used by the Hero Scholarship Fund to further its mission of over 50-years, of rendering financial and educational assistance to the surviving spouse and children when a law enforcement officer, firefighter or emergency medical person loses his/her life in the line of duty.

Although we may be down, we’re not out!  The Committee will be selling a commemorative 2020 Heroes to Hero -Run/Walk shirt (please watch for details).  We hope that through sponsorships, donations and subsequent shirt sales, we will raise the funds needed to cover the scholarships to be awarded in June 2021.  If you would like to donate or be a sponsor on our commemorative t-shirt, please complete the enclosed form.  Or you can visit our website at and use the “donate” button to support us using PayPal.

And lastly, we ask that on October 10th you go for a run, take a walk or just take a minute out of your day to think of Jim, John, Tommy, and their families.   This day is all about remembering their sacrifices!  And it means so much to the families that so many of you come out year after year in support of their loved ones. We promise to work hard to make next year’s “20th Anniversary” event a special one!  We look forward to seeing you all in 2021.
